SURROUNDINGS

Well I have a theory.
Nobody can live their life without looking at their surroundings.
Surroundings are what gives color to peoples lives.
If you are just alone in your own little world it would be kind of grey all the time.
Grey is good, in fashion.
Grey is good, in anatomy.
Grey is not good, when it represents your lifestyle.
Sometimes you need to add a little color to it to make it interesting.
Not just for your own sake, but to keep the joy and fun on a high level.
Routines suck.
They can be successfull in advertising campains and everything but..
Have you ever heard of an officeperson who works his regular officehours everyday,
that he was outstandingly happy and satisfied with his job, or even his life?
I don't.
I like to think of myself as another person.
A person that does not spend her days in the office every day of the week.
When I'm in Sweden I hope to explore a little more of myself and my preferred lifestyle
and hopefully I will come up with a non-routine that I feel good about.
I hope to figure out what I'm gonna do after my studies.
If I'm gonna move?
If I'm gonna move to another country?
If I'm gonna make a career change to the opposite of what I'm doing now?
Whether I will become superduperfamous?
Whether I will drown in the NYC sewer?
I might even become a drugs addict, do a little rehab and end up at the Betty Ford clinic as a cleaning lady!
Who knows?
I most certainly don't and that's where I hope to find my color in life!
I want to discover new things, be inspired by people I don't even know or haven't even met yet!
I wanna live, and I am planning to start that really soon! (Irony can be fun sometimes)

Be carefull not to mix up routines with dull and boring repetative things and the actual time-saving assumptions and 'ritual' you need in order to survive. You know how to set coffee, that is a routine, it is not dull and, if it's any good, shouldn't be changed. But offcourse that doesn't help you with tackling the dull live of a office employee. But is it dull? He might go to the same place, same chair, same computer everyday and might even do the same work every day, week, month etc,
but is his live dull? He might have his own little activities that might make him happy. His hobbies, his children, his porn-star wife, you name it!
He has to work in order to maintain the luxury things he told him he could afford; a wife and children and a computer and 3 times on holyday.
If you wish to sacrifice routines and standard behaviour you will have to accept that you are not able to keep all the thing you might like. You can live in a house , but have to sell it in order to change your routine (or because you stopt working) and you can lose contact with everyone because you lose being able to come home, phone anyone or worse.
At all times you should not be thinking about it in a very romantic way; in fact, changing everything quite often does make you more miserable and unhappy than you could be when you have your routines&rituals.

You should read this, although is has some crap in it, it has a very good 'verhandeling' about the things we do in order to stay happy; or, as some may believe, because the 'system' wants us to be.

Well, change is good. Doing the same routine over and over and over again...e-v-e-r-y-d-a-y is not healthy.

Sure...you have to support your family. But you can give them your love and support with a non-routine life.

Live you life...avoid routines. 'Cause boring routines are the core of many family-problems and divorces.

Buhbye darling!
