Magical Month
What a month, I'll tell you, quelle busy!
1. I finally started working...
2. I went to the Efteling
3. I had an amazing Halloween party last night
4. I went to the info day at the uni of A'dam
5. more more more
So a lot of appointments and talking and friendly get togethers.
1. So I started this course a few weeks ago where I got to learn the basics of nursing the elderly and disabled people. My internship @ De Hartekamp was great. A lot of nice people and just working my day without any boring moments! Now I started working in different places and it's not really something I feel comfortable about. You can never fully be there for anyone because you just don't know them all. You hop from one place to another simply doing the easy tasks and try to be there for the people when they have questions... So I still need to find my place in all of this...
2. Yeah! Fairy tales, rides, feeling like a kid again! I went with my parents and li'l sis to Kaatsheuvel for a day. We arrived pretty early so we had all day to enjoy the fun! There was a new rollercoaster that was so great, The Flying Dutchman about a haunted ship. A lot of light effects and just show stuff, and then some speedy tracks :) Loved it! Because of the vacation it was quite busy but still, it was so good to be there again! Some movies'll show ya!

3. Yesterday evening a friend of mine threw a party at a great café in my hometown. It's not as an exiting town as Amsterdam, but this party certainly was! My outfit could be taken as Michael Jackson, a Cabaret girl, Charlie Chaplin or a mime-player... The Phantom Four were playing and afterwards I stole their playlist. I couldn't take the playlist at the Fleetwood Mac concert last week, so this one made up for that a little. Oh yeah! Fleetwood Mac should be added to my great list as well! Ok.... some pics of Fleetwood Mac, de Efteling and the Halloween party of last night can be found here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/daniqueconijn/ on my Flickr... but I'll show you a little tipje of the sluier here...

4. So ever since I started graduating from my school this year, I more and more got the feeling that media wasn't really my thing for the future. While writing my final paper about personal branding I got really interested in people and what they are and what they do. But most importantly: why they do it. I went looking for jobs and maybe going abroad for a year, to continue my studies in a master program in Australia. I had figured it all out... at least, that's what I thought. After some research I found out that I hadn't learn enough during these studies... I wanted more. I wanted to learn something real. The direction I am willing to learn more about is the human body and mind. I spend a lot of time on the internet figuring everything out and I applied to the information day at the University of Amsterdam, to the psychology and the psycho-biology program. I had the greatest day and now I'm so sure what I wanna do next year. Psychology it is! I kind of already knew it by the end of last summer but due to a large amount of people wanting to do that each year you have to be really early to apply. I was too late already... So that's why I started the course about the basics of nursing to get through this year and I will start studying next year. I'm reaaaaaally looking forward to it, can't wait!
So, what a sum up! I'm planning on updating my blog at least once a week from now on, with shorter stories than this... so I will put an end to it right now and tell you more soon :)
Love,
Dani
