V(rije) U(niversiteit)

Today I took the train to Amsterdam Sloterdijk.
From there I took the subway to Amsterdam Zuid.
There you will find the WTC.
But, if you keep following a cute girl with a fake-fur-coat you will find... the VU.

Today I surrounded myself with a couple of smartypants kids at the university.
I spend the day with a girl who studies Medical Natural Sciences... (click and see!)
I attended two lectures about human fysiology (eyes and ears) and biochemistry.

The fysiology lecture was quite interesting... words like retina, cornea, fovea, presbyopie and chiasma opticum are now part of my daily vocabulary.
Biochemistry was much harder to follow.
Ok, this I can figure out: CH4 + 2 O2 → CO2 + 2 H2O
But this...
30 [S] = 7.5 ( 0.005 + [S]
30 [S] = 0.0375 + 7.5 [S]
22.5 [S] = 0.0375
[S] = 1.7 * 10^-3
I can't make chocolate out of it! (Dutch expression)
Maybe this movie will give you a better of this subject...
Though my lecture wasn't EXACTLY like it ;)



Overall I had a very nice and informative day.
Psychology is still my preferred study-to-be but it's never a waiste to experiment a little...
